Did the Trump administration deport a DREAMer?

Did the Trump administration deport a DREAMer?

Now Curiel has been assigned the case of Juan Manuel Montes Bojorquez, 23, who claims he was wrongly deported to Mexico by border agents in Calexico in February. Montes is suing the federal government. Living in the United States since he was nine, he studied welding at a local community college, helped support his family by working in agricultural fields in California, and had an active work permit, his lawyers said.

Tuesday, the DHS said Montes' status under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) - also known as "Dreamer" - had expired in 2015.

Immigrant-rights advocates and high-ranking members of Congress, including the top House Democrat and the second-ranking Senate Democrats, have taken up Mr. Montes's cause, saying he shouldn't have been kicked out, accusing Mr. Trump of breaking his promises, and demanding answers from Homeland Security.

Spicer said the administration "first and foremost" is concerned about dealing with people who have committed crimes or "are a threat to public safety", and referred questions about Montes to DHS.

"I would respectfully suggest that, in this case, the facts are not completely out, so I would rather not jump to conclusions about what happened", he said.

As Breitbart News reported, 23-year-old illegal immigrant Juan Manuel Montes was deported by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency after having four criminal convictions, one for shoplifting and three others for driving without a license. Montes is the first dreamer to be deported under Trump.

Real Madrid 2-goal hero Ronaldo: Those doubters are in minority
He was replaced by youngster Marco Asensio, who went on to make the assist for Ronaldo's victor . "In fact he feels bad now". Ronaldo has scored 97 of his European goals in the UCL, with another in the qualifiers and two in the European Super Cup.

"It is beyond the pale that border patrol officers are left to make decisions that impact people's lives and future with absolute impunity". She claimed the Department of Homeland Security had no record of arresting Montes in California.

"Juan Manuel was funneled across the border without so much as a piece of paper to explain why or how", said Nora Preciado, an attorney at the National Immigration Law Center, which represents Montes. According to the NILC, officials "made him sign documents without allowing him to see an immigration judge, seek counsel or obtain copies of the documents he signed".

During the presidential election, then-candidate Trump called out Curiel for his handling of a lawsuit against Trump University.

Its revision notwithstanding, the DHS said a statement that Montes "violated the conditions of his status by breaking continuous residency in the United States by leaving and then reentering the US illegally" on an unknown date prior to his arrest. But the lawsuit alleges that the incident described by Border Patrol happened days after his initial deportation.

The lawsuit filed on his behalf on Monday by Los Angeles-based National Immigration Law Center demands that the government turn over key information about his sudden forced departure. Just last month Secretary Kelly promised me that no one with DACA would lose this protection unless they violated the terms of DACA. He also worked as a crop picker in California and Arizona, according to USA Today.
