WH Addresses Confusion over USS Carl Vinson's Location

President Trump made it sound as if the carrier strike group was moving immediately to the Korean Peninsula in an interview last week following increased tensions with North Korea.

U.S. National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster told Fox News the next day that the group was being rerouted from Singapore toward the Korean Peninsula as a "prudent" show of force.

U.S. media reported on Tuesday that the supercarrier deployed by President Donald Trump to deter North Korea did not reach the Sea of Japan right away because White House and Defense Department officials failed to communicate effectively.

If and when the "armada" finally arrives, it's going to be staying awhile, with officials saying the planned deployment has been extended for 30 more days to prove the United States military comment to the northwestern Pacific.

The US Navy says an aircraft carrier intended as a show of force to North Korea will arrive in the Sea of Japan next week, after much confusion surrounding the path of the USS Carl Vinson.

"The USS Carl Vinson Strike Group is proceeding to the Western Pacific as ordered", the spokesperson said.

Microsoft begins denying updates to some Windows 7 users
While it's evident the event will focus on education, Microsoft will also debut a new product - Microsoft Surface CloudBook . And if it's going to be what we think it will be, that device could effectively push Chromebooks to the sidelines.

While House officials have since said their account was based on "guidance from the Defense Department", according to The New York Times.

"We want to send an unambiguous message especially to North Korea that any attempt to use weapons of any kind against our allies in this region or American forces overseas will be defeated and will be met with overwhelming force", Pence said in an interview with CNN. "That's a fact, it happened", Spicer said.

But soon after the Pacific Command statement, USA military officials clarified to CNN that the strike group would first complete a previously scheduled military exercise with the Australian navy. Secretary James Mattis said the Carl Vinson was "on her way up there" on On April 10. On multiple occasions, the public was told that the Carl Vinson was directly headed near North Korea. "It is happening, rather", Spicer said to defend the series of widely misconstrued statements on Wednesday.

The US military's Pacific Command explained that the strike group first had to complete a shorter-than-initially planned period of training with Australia but was now heading toward the Western Pacific.

U.S. Pacific Command's statement created some ambiguity, as it named North Korea but did not specifically say it deployed the ships to waters off North Korea.

He stated the situation in the Korean peninsula is highly sensitive all countries involved should avoid aggravating the situation.
