Facebook Messenger Home Screen Gets a Makeover

On top, you can also view tabs for messages and a list of who is now active on the app. You will also be prompted to visit places with activity via a red dot that will come up wherever something occurs.

The update relocates Groups from the bottom navigation bar to the a tab at the top of the screen, making it a less prominent feature in the redesigned app. These tabs, as one example, isolates users who are active that moment, making it easier to find who is online versus those who aren't now available.

In the hope of making it as easy to use as possible, Facebook has given its Messenger app a makeover. New tabs at the top of the main screen makes it quicker to move between messages, active contacts, and groups.

Facebook has also chose to decrease the size of the camera button.

The new bottom bar has tabs for Home, Calls, the Camera button, People and Games.

Colorado man to be freed early now in immigration custody
His sentences for these crimes were to be served consecutively for a 98-year sentence and a possible parole date of October 2053. She says when he was initially released in 2008, federal immigration authorities told him he had a deportation notice.

In March, Facebook also launched Messenger Day, a feature that allows users to send messages that will vanish after 24 hours. For example, if you haven't read one of your messages, you'll see the dot next to the Home icon on the bottom.

As the image above shows, the same general design will be arriving in both the iOS and the Android app - if you're not seeing the new interface yet, check to see if the update is available.

The social network is reorganizing the Messenger home screen in an effort to make it "your central hub for connecting with the people and businesses you want to in whatever way you prefer".

The new look Messenger will be rolling out worldwide on iOS and Android this week.
