NHS cyber attack: Hospitals no longer diverting patients

NY [U.S.], May 14 (ANI): The World's biggest cyber attack which has hit 200,000 victims in at least 150 countries threatens to create more havoc on Monday when people return to work.

Home Secretary Amber Rudd will chair a meeting of the Government's emergency COBRA committee later.

More than 75,000 similar attacks reportedly happened in nearly 100 countries, with Russia, Ukraine and Taiwan hardest hit, according to the cybersecurity firm Avast.

Last week's devastating worldwide cyber attack could come back from the dead this morning as people switch on their PCs.

The Scottish Government confirmed there have been no further reported problems following the debilitating cyber attack which hit the NHS on Friday afternoon.

Digital managers in Britain had been bracing themselves Monday for a possible second cyber attack, but in the event there was no new attack.

"All GP practices affected will be returned to normal operational status by today".

"We are planning to continue as we have today but can not confirm when our computers will be back working".

Senate chairman: Flynn has not responded to subpoena
The move came after Flynn's lawyer refused to provide documents in response to their April 28 request for this information. On March 30, Flynn offered to testify before both the House and Senate Intelligence Communities in exchange for immunity.

"Again, any patient with a hospital appointment should attend as normal".

The healthcare system in the United Kingdom is reeling from a ransomware attack.

Such programs stop users from accessing their files until they make a payment in Bitcoin.

However some hospitals are still suffering disruption from the cyber attack, which hit 200,000 victims across 150 countries around the world.

Barts Health, which runs the hospital, was among a fifth of the country's NHS trusts to have its computers infected by ransomware.

He added: "We don't know why criminals targeted the NHS in England and Scotland, railways in Germany and the phone system in the Spain". I would like to thank all of the NHS staff who are working round the clock to rectify this and keep any impact to an absolute minimum.

Dr Anne Rainsberry, NHS incident director, said: "The NHS has continued to treat patients throughout the weekend".

Mr MacGibbon declined to comment on the identity or type of the business impacted by the unprecedented cyber attack but said it was a small company, which did not provide critical infrastructure.
