The NSA told Microsoft about EternalBlue hack used in WannaCry

The possible targets include Microsoft's Windows 10, which was unaffected by the initial attack and is on at least 500m devices around the world. Windows 10, web browser and router exploits along with "compromised network data from more SWIFT providers and Central banks" are among the items that might be offered through the "dump of the month" service.

In the post, which will worry security agencies and companies around the world, the Shadow Brokers said: "In June, TheShadowBrokers is announcing "TheShadowBrokers Data Dump of the Month" service".

While the Shadow Brokers has stressed the financial value of the stolen hacking tools it holds, in its response to the WannaCry attack it repeatedly states that its aim "is always being about theshadowbrokers vs theequationgroup".

In a blog post, the group said the releases will start in June, and be available to people who pay a "subscription" fee.

In a convoluted post on Steemit.com and shared on the mysterious group's Twitter account, Shadow Brokers says it has more exploits and attack tools in its possession.

The group is responsible for the release of the National Security Agency's (NSA) hacking exploits which highlighted a Windows vulnerability used by hackers in the recent WannaCry global ransomware attack. After failing to get a bidder for the leaked files, the Shadow Brokers leaked in April 2017 a part of their horde, some of which was subsequently incorporated into the WannaCry ransomware. How do they expect their newly proposed "monthly subscription" plan work when the previous one fell flat on its face? The post indicated those who are willing can pay a monthly membership fee and how members will use the data they purchase would be up to them.

Grown-ups brawl at high school graduation in Tennessee
This is the shocking moment a brawl breaks out between parents at a high school graduation ceremony - in a row over a seat. It's unclear if anyone was arrested, but the altercation ended with one woman in handcuffs.

Shadow Brokers first emerged last August, offering to auction hacking exploits it said were used by the NSA's elite hacking team known as Equation Group (officially named Tailored Access Operations). What members doing with data after is up to members.

But now, the monthly subscription model might mean the bugs will find their way into the hands of more people, said Mr Hall.

Starting in 2016, Shadow Brokers has been leaking hacking tools linked to the NSA online.

The group also has intelligence gathered by the NSA on foreign banks and ballistic missile programs, it said. "Heck, at this point, Shadow Brokers doesn't even need to have this exploit (though I'm guessing the NSA and Microsoft both may be erring on the side of caution at this point)", she wrote on her site.

Microsoft had previously patched the vulnerability, but many computers had not installed the updates and were left exposed.

"Because simply by threatening another leak after leaking two sets of Microsoft exploits, Shadow Brokers will ratchet up the hostility between Microsoft and the government".
