There is an enhanced risk for severe thunderstorms in parts of Oklahoma and Texas today and tonight.

An outbreak of severe storms and tornadoes is possible across parts of central and southern Kansas late this afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

If a tornado warning is issued, residents should quickly seek shelter in the lowest level of their homes and move away from doors and windows. This can change with little notice, so continue to monitor the weather closely through the evening. Saturday: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
