Sean Spicer May Get To Choose His Own Replacement If He Quits

White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer remained mum on his own fate in the administration Tuesday, refusing to deny that he would not be sticking around as President Trump's chief spokesman. [We've] been seeking input from individuals as far as ideas they may have. The Trump Administration is insulating itself from the media and by extension the American people by refusing to allow video and audio recordings of the White House press briefings.

The announcement came as a surprise to many, especially considering that for nearly the entirety of the Trump administration, there have been grumblings that President Donald Trump didn't approve of Spicer's performance and wanted to replace him. "When we have an announcement of a personal nature, we'll let you know".

The White House has been holding a series of off-camera briefings in place of the traditional daily media events. "And there are days that I'll decide that the President's voice should be the one that speaks, and iterate his priorities", said Spicer, according to the Washington Post Monday.

"The White House using fat shaming to justify increased opacity".

Around the same time, Reince Priebus, then the incoming White House chief of staff, said on "Fox News Sunday" that Trump accepts that Russian Federation was behind the interference.

"I'm right here", he told reporters Tuesday, The Hill reported.

President Trump has long considered making major staffing changes within the White House, the Associated Press reported, and reports have constantly swirled of top advisers being potentially replaced. Whether Bannon is speaking for himself or the president wasn't clear, but many weren't amused.
