Trump Is Now Under Investigation for Obstruction of Justice

The special counsel appointed to probe alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. presidential polls is now also investigating President Donald Trump for possible obstruction of justice, according to a media report.

Trump was forced to fire Flynn in February after he misled the White House about his contacts with Russian officials a year ago as a member of Trump's transition team.

Apparently, this major uptick in the investigation into Flynn, efforts at Russian sabotage and White House collusion and now the obstruction-of-justice element by Trump himself came days after then-FBI Director Jim Comey was sacked by Trump.

Since his inauguration, President Trump has issued dozens of tweets blasting reports that he or his campaign coordinated or colluded with Russian Federation, and that doesn't include all of his tweets blasting "fake news" and "leakers". Then, the following day, he virtually confirmed to of all people, the Russian diplomats, that he felt less pressure on him now that he got rid of Comey because of the Russian investigation.

That tweet from this morning seemed to be a swipe at Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who chose former FBI Director Robert Mueller to lead the Special Counsel probe of Russian election interference.

The website reported that Trump will sometimes interrupt conversations with associates to say, "I'm not under investigation".

However, there are also rumours that claim the Note 8 to feature a 4K (Ultra high-definition) display. However, with prices Galaxy S8 starting at £680, expect it to fetch more than £700.

At a congresional hearing last week, Comey confirmed that he told Trump three times that Trump was not being investigated as part of the Russia-collusion probe, and Trump tweeted "total and complete vindication" at that time.

On Wednesday, the Washington Post reported Mueller is investigating Trump directly, over alleged obstruction of justice.

He also told the Senate Intelligence Committee in his June 8 testimony he believed Mr Trump had directed him to drop a related agency investigation into the President's former national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

In a second tweet, Trump touted his "powerful" presence on social media, despite widespread criticism that his recurring rants on Twitter and other online media have only compounded his legal and political problems.

Those who have agreed to be interviewed include: Dan Coats, director of national intelligence; Mike Rogers, chief of the National Security Agency; and Richard Ledgett, who recently left his post as deputy to Rogers. Trump tweeted. "Witch Hunt".
