DOCTOR WHO's 13th Renegeration to Be Announced This Sunday

Hardly. Doctor Who's new Time Lord will be introduced Sunday, July 16, after the Wimbledon Men's Final.

In a Tweet that's sending Doctor Who fans everywhere into meltdown, BBC America posted a cryptic video that teases the coming of the Thirteenth Doctor. The Wimbledon Men's Final will end at 6:30pm.

He added, "One of the greatest privileges of being Doctor Who is to see the world at its best..." Peter Capaldi took over as time- and space-traveling alien The Doctor in 2013, but he previously announced that his recently completed third season in the iconic role will be his last. Particularly with the Master, the Doctor's arch-enemy, turning into a woman named Missy several seasons ago.

Current favourites with the bookies include Kris Marshall and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Capaldi is stepping down this Christmas in a special episode which also stars David Bradley as the First Doctor, originally played by William Hartnell between 1963-66.

The main character has the ability to regenerate, a quirk that has allowed a number of actors to have played the role over the years.

We hear there is a very good chance the new Time Lord will be joining the Doctor Who panel in Comic-Con's huge Hall H along with Capaldi, exiting showrunner Steven Moffat and others.
