French Army Marching Band Performs Daft Punk Medley for Bastille Day

A marching military band performed classical pieces including a tribute to the city of Nice, struck previous year by a terror attack, and "Nissa La Bella", according to The Local, before bursting into a melody of hits by native electronic duo Daft Punk.

On Friday, a French military marching band celebrated Bastille Day with arrangements of the group's hits, including the Grammy-winning 2013 single "Get Lucky".

There's a lot of stuff President Donald Trump doesn't seem to understand: equality, the news, foreign policy, common decency, and hair brushing to name but a few. During the band's outstanding performance, Trump appeared less than entertained. "Macron looked like he was having the time of his life", Mashable reports.

Howell tied for first-round lead at Deere Run
Patrick Rodgers shot a 7-under 64 on Friday to take a two-shot lead after the second round of the John Deere Classic. In fact, the effort was the five-time Tour winning Finn's lowest score since a 64 on day one of the 2015 KLM Open.

A video shared by Channel 4 News compares the two world leaders' vastly differing reactions by showing close-ups of each of their faces throughout the duration of the performance.

It's somewhat fitting the music of Daft Punk would close out the Bastille Day celebration. And we've got to say, they did a pretty great job with songs like "Get Lucky" and "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger".
