Grassley questions Russian lawyer who travelled to US

Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, told CNN Thursday that he plans to send a letter to Donald Trump Jr today asking him to testify before the committee.

"They talked about the adoption stuff, which was actually a big thing at the time, but nothing happened", Trump added.

"Ms. Veselnitskaya was subsequently paroled into the US several times between 2015 and 2016, ending in February 2016". It remains unclear how she was able to remain in the country until June 2016 when she met with Donald Trump Jr. The president later asked that some of his remarks during the conversation be put on the record.

Futerfas told NBC that, "for the goal of security or otherwise, the names were reviewed" but said Trump Jr. knew nothing about the man's background at the time of the meeting. Prior to Trump's decision on the U.S. exit from the Paris deal, Macron held several talks with him on the issue and strongly criticized the United States president's move later.

On Wednesday, Grassley had said he wanted to see Trump's former campaign chairman Paul Manafort in front of his committee next week.

The Virginia Democrat would not say Thursday when the panel wants to interview Kushner or Trump Jr. I don't believe Trump on son's Russian Federation meeting MORE, according to a report from NBC News.

The White House's response to Trump Jr.'s emails was apparently complicated by Trump Jr.'s own misleading statements.

Mr Agalarov worked with Donald Trump Snr on staging the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow in 2013.

While Trump Jr. has since been charged with running the president's businesses and doesn't hold an official position, Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and Kushner, her husband, are advisers in the White House - they have security clearance and have made several public appearances on governmental matters.

Attorney Alan Futerfas said the man was described as a friend of Emin Agalarov, a Russian pop star who was a client of Rob Goldstone, a music publicist who had arranged the meeting, and possibly of Velenitskaya's, NBC said.

House aides said negotiations on the Russian Federation bill were continuing.

Kushner was in charge of the Trump campaign's digital operations. Most recently Ivanka joined her father at the G20 summit in Germany.

"Whether it's Russian Federation or anybody else, we can't let there be even a scintilla of doubt when it comes to an election", the president said, ignoring the fact that almost a year ago as a candidate he publicly invited Russian Federation to find and steal Clinton's missing emails deleted from her personal server. The White House says the president is opposed to ceding executive authority over foreign policy to Congress.

"At the end of the meeting simply as I was walking out, they said this gentleman has some documents for you", he told the Hill. If that's the case, then he's subject to the same problem that got Michael Flynn fired, that he was exposed with this lie.
