Margot Robbie Could Play Lead In New Tarantino Film

Tate told TMZ that she didn't think Jennifer Lawrence was attractive enough to portray her late sister Sharon.

They're both extremely accomplished actresses, but I would have to say, my pick would be Margot. I don't know. She's not pretty enough to play Sharon.

Lawrence, 26, the highest-paid actress in the world, rose to fame in The Hunger Games series and won an Oscar for her role in 2012's Silver Linings Playbook.

His overarching project will be filmed according to a true story, which will make it significantly different from the previous film. Debra owns Sharon's intellectual licensing.

"That's a frightful thing to say, but I have my standards", she affirmed. "Simply because of her physical beauty and the way she even carries herself is similar to that of Sharon".

Tate, 64, went onto emphasize that the physical beauty wouldn't be so important if her sister's public life hadn't been based on her appearance, and that's what she'd be trying to capture if the film did get made.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news Tuesday that Tarantino is prepping a film about Charles Manson and the brutal slaying of Sharon and four others at a Benedict Canyon home in Los Angeles on August 8, 1969. Reports say she might play one of the Manson Family followers.

Charles Manson, who at 82 is still behind bars, was the leader of a California cult called "The Family" which murdered several people, including the pregnant Hollywood star Sharon Tate. There are plans to shoot the movie in 2018, with indications that the summer is most likely. While it's still very early days, he's reportedly talking to stars such as Brad Pitt and Jennifer Lawrence, and producers Harvey and Bob Weinstein are also attached.
