New 'Incredibles 2' details revealed at D23

When Friday's Pixar and Disney Animation panel at D23 kicked off, it opened with a sizzle reel containing extremely short clips from some upcoming films, and few glimpses got a bigger reaction than the title card forThe Incredibles 2. The first movie featured a former fanatical superhero fan, Buddy Pines as a villain so it could be pretty interesting to see a team of villains while getting their backstories as well.

"Well you know it's different being in a studio and being on set and looking at people that are bigger than you and have super powers".

"The whole world of Incredibles 2 is gonna be greatly expanded upon", Bird said, introducing an image of a hydra liner cruise-looking ship and a slew of super hero illustrations. "We love to really look at our own lives and look at what's going on, and find themes that we know will resonate with the audience".

But it sounds like the entire family will need to come together with some new allies to take on a villain we haven't seen yet.

Pelicans, Rajon Rondo agree to one-year deal
The Pelicans already brought back point guard Jrue Holiday this summer, but he could move to shooting guard if Rondo is added. The Pelicans are still a relatively young team that could definitely use a veteran with playoff experience on their roster.

Jackson is used to being in the company of superheroes, but now he gets to be one again in Incredibles 2. Though story details are under wraps, he has previously hinted that some of the elements in the script are connected to ideas that didn't make it into the original film. They also get a new high tech house full of sharp corners for Jack Jack. There were little scenes and things that I was interested in.

Director Brad Bird confirmed today during Disney's D23 panel that the movie, slated to be released in June of next year, will center much of its action around Elastigirl. The raccoon bears a strong resemblance to the robber in the movie Jack-Jack is watching so he immediately starts moving toward him. Incredible will stay home to take care of Jack Jack. The film brought in over $630 million at the global box office.

The sequel, which was originally due for release in 2019 but has switched release spots with Toy Story 4, is now due out next year, and will pick up right where the first movie finished, with The Underminer attacking the city.
