OR mother arrested after pulling kids in a wagon behind her vehicle

An Oregon mother was arrested on Wednesday after she apparently used her vehicle to tow her two children in a red plastic wagon, according to police.

Springfield police said 27-year-old Alana Donahue was arrested Wednesday night after at least four motorists reported seeing the auto pulling the plastic wagon with her two-year-old daughter, 4-year-old son and 8-year-old nephew inside.

The mother of the eight-year-old called police when she recognised her son in images shared on local social media.

The Department of Human Services placed the two children with another person, police logs show.

'When confronted by police Donohue told an officer she didn't know why everyone was making such a big deal, saying, "I was just trying to show them a good time"'.

"That same witness reported observing Donohue pull over and move the toddler from the wagon to the auto and then continue driving with the 4-year-old and the 8-year-old still in the wagon..."

Crews look for survivors of plane crash on Florida coast
Action News Jax has been told the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are headed to scene of plane crash. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission are searching for the plane.

The children are aged three and five years old. Several sent photos and videos to the police.

According to McKee, Donahue was not intoxicated.

The wagon was tied to the vehicle with "a strap or similar connector", the Register-Guard reported.

At least four drivers called police after seeing the woman in a white Ford Taurus pulling the wagon in the traffic circle at South 42nd Street and Jasper Road.

Donohue is facing three charges of reckless endangering, though the children were not hurt.
