Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz submitted false documents to mislead

According to the report, Maryam Nawaz made it clear to the JIT that she was not directly involved in any business nor was she the owner of any offshore property. He said Joint Investigation Team (JIT) should be asked about their findings.

The JIT team, constituted to probe into the irregularities in wealth of Prime Minister and his family, comprised members of powerful military bodies like the ISI. Several assets have raised eyebrows which include four flats that cost million pounds in Park Lane, London, United Kingdom.

Maryam Nawaz is the most recent person of the Sharif family to become engulfed in a scandal related to Panama Leaks.

A Joint Investigation Team (JIT), set up by the Supreme Court to investigate corruption allegations that surfaced following the Panama Papers leak, spent two months looking into the family's wealth and gave its finding to the court on Monday.

He claimed that three federal ministers had offered him bribe in the Model Town killings case and said that he would expose their names if they would deny.

Babar Awan, a leader of cricket-star-turned-politician Imran Khan's party, said on Tuesday that Sharif's only option is to quit.

The report's contents are not yet known, but the apex court has ordered that its copies should be provided to thrties to the case, including Sharif family. The JIT, which included experts from civilian and military intelligence agencies, summoned and questioned Sharif and his children about their family assets and contacted governments overseas before finalizing the report.

"It's trash", said Defence Minister Asif Khawaja, adding that the report was "full of flaws".

Meanwhile, Maryam Nawaz took to Twitter to reject the JIT report, saying all accusations will be contested in the court.

The investigators have recommended that a case be filed against Sharif in the a National Accountability Court after concluding that there were "significant gap [s]" in Sharif's family's ability to account for their assets.
