Salim's interrogators also suspect of him being involved in a terrorist attack on CRPF camp in Rampur district of UP which left eight personnel killed and many injured on December 31, 2007.

Mumbai: A suspected LeT terrorist was arrested on Monday from the Mumbai airport here, a media report said. Identified as Saleem Khan, he is said to have been running a hawala network which was used to transfer funds for acts of terror in the country.

Oil Prices Remain High On China Demand
The EIA drilling productivity report shows that shale oil output will likely increase by 127,000 bpd in July to 5.47 mbpd. With the global oil supply glut seen lasting into 2018, crude oil has failed to crack the $50 a barrel mark in months.

Khan is believed to have been trained at a terror camp in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan. They, in turn, alerted his presence to the Indian government. "He would be questioned on his links and role in ensuring the operationalisation of the attack", Asim Arun, inspector general of UP ATS told Mumbai Mirror. He first came under the radar of ATS in 2008.

Aftab's arrest had also led to the arrest of two accused from Mumbai, who were allegedly providing financial aid to ISI agents at the behest of their ISI handlers.

Sufayan Zafar was released on bail by a Pakistani anti-terrorism court due to "lack of evidence" against him earlier this month. He worked in "close co-ordination" with one Rafique and Kausar, both arrested previously in the Rampur case. The name of Khan cropped up during the interrogation of Aftab Ali who was arrested in May this year on the charge that he was spying for the ISI. Khan has been on the run ever since and had managed to hoodwink security agencies.

Firstpost reported that Khan is originally from Uttar Pradesh (UP) and was arrested "in a joint operation" by the anti-terror squads of UP and Maharashtra.
