WKU's Fant named to Paul Hornung Award Watch List

Kerryon Johnson is on the Paul Hornung Award's preseason watch list, for the award given to college football's most versatile player as voted on by the Louisville Sports Commission and award namesake Paul Hornung.

Five Big Ten students are part on this year's Hornung Award preseason watch list.

Named after the former Notre Dame and Green Bay Packers star, the Paul Hornung Award presented by Texas Roadhouse recognizes the most versatile player in the country and has been awarded since 2010.

A fifth MI football player has landed on a preseason watch list. Edwards. Ten Butkus Award recipients have matriculated from current Big Ten schools since the award debuted in 1985, with Ohio State's James Laurinaitis being the most recent Big Ten honoree in 2007.

As a defensive back Berry managed 12 tackles and one tackle for loss in 2016. He replaced Su'a Cravens admirably in his first year as a starter, recording 7.5 tackles for loss and an impressive five pass deflections.
