China, India soldiers hurl stones at 1 another in Kashmir

"Otherwise, under India's logic, if the Pakistani government requests, a third country's Army can enter the area disputed by India and Pakistan, including India-controlled Kashmir", the article on the Chinese paper said. It is clarified that the information is false.

Indian soldiers had reportedly formed a human chain to stop the advancing Chinese troopers.

The Indian Army refused to comment on the incident. According to reports, the skirmish did not involve the use of arms and ammunitions but heavy stone pelting was carried out by both sides.

Frustrating the attempts of the Chinese People's Liberation Army once again, the Indian Army has foiled the former's infiltration attempt into the Indian territory from the northern shores of Pangong Lake in Ladakh.

Personnel from both sides received minor injuries in the ensuing stone-pelting and the situation was brought under control after the customary banner drill under which both sides hold banners before stepping back to their respective positions.

On Tuesday boats patrols of the Indian and Chinese armies clashed on the Pangong lake in Ladakh

On Tuesday morning at about 7.30 am Indian and Chinese boat patrols clashed with each other at Pangong Tso lake in Ladakh near finger-6 part of the 135 km long lake.

Ladakh is the latest incident of military standoff between the two countries after the Dokalam standoff in Sikkim region, which is still continuing. The Chinese side is committed to peace and tranquillity of the China-India border.

India and China are engaged in a standoff in Sikkim since June 16, when China attempted to construct a road at Doklam, a disputed tri-junction area between India-Bhutan-China, which originally belongs to Bhutan, but China claims it as its territory.

New Delhi said it sent its troops because Chinese military activity in Doklam, near the trijunction of the borders of India, China and Bhutan, was a threat to the security of its own northeast region, especially in Sikkim.

On India's 71st anniversary of Independence, Global Times said, "August 15 is not just a day for pride".
